The downhole motor is a kind of power tool that transforms the pressure of fluid to mechanical energy in the well. When the power fluid flows into the screw motor,differential pressure will be generated between the inlet and outlet of the motor,which then will drives the rotor rotating as eccentric motion round the stator, which provides the torque and speed to the drill bit while the drill pipe is not rotating during work process, thus the drilling process is being performed.
